This weekend!

Happy Friday Loves!

Hope you all have had a fantastic week... I've been crazy busy, but I'm super excited about this coming weekend because our friend Sarah is getting married!!!

Sarah and I were coworkers who got engaged around the same time and spent hours every day talking about wedding planning and sharing ideas and fun stories about our wedding planning journey.

I'm sooo excited to see all her details come together tomorrow in what, I'm sure, will be a perfect day.

Congratulations Sarah & Andy!!!

aren't they just the cutest!?

Moon & Lola

*this is not a sponsored post, these opinions are my own*

A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled across this website and fell IN LOVE with their monogrammed jewelry. I've been lusting over monogrammed necklaces for some time, but couldn't bring myself to pay the unnecessary price to have one.

Well, Moon and Lola offers an alternative for us frugal people. They have acrylic monogrammed necklaces that look just as great as the silver and gold necklaces I've seen and can be ordered in multiple colors. I was so excited when I found these and decided to order one right away. I stuck with the traditional gold look since I figured i'd get a lot more wear out of it that way, and placed my order.

Yesterday, my awesome necklace arrived, and today at work I'm one happy girl sporting yet another monogrammed item!

I paired this necklace with a longer necklace, but I love how it makes a statement without drawing too much attention. I definitely think I have a new favorite in my jewelry box!

Happy Friday Friends!

Catch up time

I have this bad habit of abandoning this poor little blog for a week or two at a time, and my friends, i've done it again... But I'm bacckkkkk!

So let's catch up, shall we?

Easter Weekend

Shane & I went to Florence for the weekend to spend time with family. Saturday morning, we spent time lovin' on our twin nieces. I can't believe those girls are already 8 months old. TIME FLIES, people. It seems like just yesterday, they were born!

Shane & Avery ......................... Me & Kadence
Easter Sunday, we went to church and lunch with my mom's side of the family. My grandparents were SO proud to have most of our family at church... my papa was definitely beaming ear to ear.

Me & the hubby....................................................... Me & my gorgeous mommy
After Shane and I arrived back in Columbia, we started a very long and drawn out week. My boss from our corporate office was in town so I spent most of the week in and out of meetings. I did however, get the pleasure of speaking on a panel for the South Carolina Broadcaster's Association. I was asked to speak, along with eight other people to share with college students the skills it takes to find a job and succeed in the area of broadcasting. I was super nervous, but the panel turned out GREAT and I had a blast!

Me and the other 8 panelists
This past weekend, I got in a fight with my allergies, and they won. So I spent the entire weekend enjoying the gorgeous weather, doing this...

drinking hot tea while cuddling on the couch
In my productive weekend, I did manage to watch one too many episodes of my favorite new obsession on Netflix... Army Wives.

Do any of you watch this show? Even if you are not a military spouse or family, this show is sooo good and prepare to have tissues. It really makes you respect the military families and what they go through while their loved ones are deployed. It's very dramatic, but even the hubby has enjoyed watching it with me!

Anyhoo, I believe I'm all caught up.

Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Spring Cleaning + Organization

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

This time of year when the sun is shining, I find myself in such a productive mood.

And there is nothing that pushes my productivity over the edge than turning the blinds on a bright sunny day and looking around your home. Something about natural sunlight makes you see things in a whole new perspective. My eyes begin to immediately see things that have been hiding beneath the dreary months of winter. I'm talking dirt and clutter. Our place is due for a good sprucing up!

The past few days I've been browsing my Pinterest boards that are oh so inspirational, and have decided on a few projects that i'll be working on these next few weeks to clean+organize our lives.

1. Daily chores
This first printout I found on Pinterest with a dead link, so I can't give credit. If any of you have seen this floating around on a blog/pinterest with the proper link, let me know and I will change (I hate not giving credit!)
Anyhoo, I'm thinking of printing/framing this sheet to hang in our kitchen. Shane and I are home at different times in the morning and afternoon, so this seems like a perfect reminder of our daily chores that will free up our weekends from having to completely scrub down the house.

 2. Organizing "leftovers" from our wedding.
Yes, 7 months later, I guess it's time I can start working on some post wedding projects. I've framed photos all over our house (maybe a little obnoxiously) but I have a huge box in our attic of STUFF from our wedding and leading up to it that I want to do something with. Here are a few ideas that I plan on working on to display those things.

I also want to do this with not only all of our wedding cards, but I have years of birthday and special occasion cards that I have collected that are hanging or sitting all over our house. This would be a great way to reflect back on the special ones.

3. "Declutter" pictures
It's time I face the fact that I'm a picture whore. Yes, I document everything and have WAYYYY too many pictures. And the 1000+ pictures we have documenting our wedding day doesn't help my addiction. And don't even get me started on my precious twin nieces. They're only 7 months old and I already have a ton of their pictures. With that being said, I don't want our house to look like a photo gallery. I fully think that there is such a thing as having TOO much. Now, I don't think we've reached that point yet, but we haven't even had kids yet. So i've decided to start making photobooks of some pics that I just don't need to necessarily have hanging on our walls. We have had so much happen in the past few years and nothing documents those memories quite like photographs. Shutterfly has some very creative photobooks, so this is definitely a project I want to do to get rid of the stacks of photos sitting in our office right now that I just don't have room to frame.

great idea to capture showers, wedding festivities, graduation, special events, etc. Pin found here

What are some of your Spring cleaning/organizing projects?
